This painting won third place in an online contest entitled;- "Painted Forest". There were 807 pieces of art in the competition.
I painted this old abandoned road sprinkled with falling autumn leaves after hiking it's full length. This road was near my former home in Vermont and was called the old "County Road" which was only used by hikers, horseback riders, cross country skiers and snowmobiles. It was always a treat to hike or ski the 17 miles through deep woods and abandoned farms on this road.
