Artist's Description
This painting is a 6 x 8 foot mural commissioned by the city of Chico, California. My proposal for the mural won the 2005 "People's Choice Award" by popular vote and I was awarded the commission. The scene was inspired by my nocturnal hikes on the Pacific Crest Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains by moonlight.
