Artist's Description

This is a small (8" x 12") oil study for a larger painting. Across the road from where I lived in Vermont was an old "County Road", about 17 miles long that connected two small villages. The road was abandoned long ago and is used mostly by hikers, horseback riders, cross country skiers and snow machines. That seldom used road has been the inspiration for many oil paintings that I have done along it's 17 mile length.
