Description
A dark storm dumped copious amounts of rain all day and then, just seconds before the sun set, the clouds parted for a few brief moments and illuminated the view to the east from my back deck in the foothills of northern California. I had just enough time to grab my camera and take this shot. A moment later the sun was gone and the scene looked dull and dark gray. Timing makes all the difference!
