Artist's Description

Bald Rock Dome is a granite batholith located in Butte County in the Plumas National Forest in Northern California. At about 3600 feet in elevation, the dome peak overlooks the Sierra Nevada foothills, the Sacramento Valley and coastal mountain ranges. It is a remarkable place with bizarre rock formations and huge glacial erratics that make for some great scenic photographs.
