Artist's Description

This is a photograph of one of my ordinary watercolor and gouache paintings, "Evening Trail", that was photographed under black light for a total change in appearance. I have spent years experimenting with how different wave lengths of light affect the appearance of my watercolors and what adjustments I would have to make so they would look right under fluorescent, incandescent and natural daylight. The most striking change in my watercolors occurs when they are illuminated solely with black light (UV). I thought that some of these would make very interesting fine art prints. NOTE: No Phosphors were used in these images as in my GLOW IN THE DARK MURALS. The ordinary watercolors are florescent under Black Light. I will be adding more experimental images in the future.
