The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The incoming waves over untold years of geologic history have worn a large hole though this massive rock. In the early morning hours the sun has illuminated the the warm orange ochers of the rock that compliment the cool colors in the water.
