A large expanse of the High Sierra Nevada Mountains is captured in oil paint on a rather small 8 x 10 inch hardboard panel. This is a study for a larger painting that I plan on painting in the future. The painting looks much larger than it's actual size due to the vastness of the scenery and the fine detail.
