The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Spring in Northern New England is an explosive time of green growth and just about every hue, tint and shade of green manifests itself in the countryside. Spring is my second favorite season to paint right behind autumn. This series is painted from my memories of long lazy hikes over the ridges where I lived in Northern Vermont. It is quintessential scenery of spring that can be found in the Adirondacks of upstate New York through the Green Mountains of Vermont and on into the White Mountains of upstate New Hampshire and Maine.
