This painting captures the intense luminosity of the California landscape in spring when the grasses are fresh and green and the meadows are filled with wildflowers. This place is only a dozen miles from my studio. I'm very pleased with the accuracy with which I captured the brilliantly lit landscape and the luminosity of the clouds.
