This exposure was made on the slopes of the Eastern Sierras in Nevada as a storm broke up.

This solitary pine is a survivor of the fire that ravaged the high desert and pine forest above Carson City Nevada in 2004. Dark storm clouds create a sense of drama over the colorful desert vegetation.
