Not far from my studio in Northern California, in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada, is a remote park at an elevation of 3570 feet in the tall pines. As you walk through the park there are many bronze sculptures of children playing at various activities. Their expressions of joy remind me of my own childhood memories. I am intrigued by the frozen expressions on their charming faces, the play of dappled light on them and the varied patinas of the bronze as it weathers in the outdoor elements. I hope you enjoy this series.
